1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to image2slides.com and the related image-to-slides conversion service (collectively, the “Service”). It covers information processed when you browse the website, create or access an account, upload content, or generate and download output.
2. Information We Collect
The information we process depends on how you use the Service. It may include the following categories:
- Account and authentication information, such as your email address, account name, profile image, verification details, login method, authentication tokens, and credit balance.
- Content you provide, including uploaded screenshots, posters, slide photos, filenames, conversion settings, prompts you submit, and other materials needed to perform a conversion.
- Generated and processing data, such as editable slide files, previews, extracted text and elements, intermediate processing artifacts, job status, error details, and download information.
- Technical and service-use data, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, request timestamps, diagnostic logs, and interactions needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Communications you send to us, including support requests, feedback, and related contact information.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service. This includes authenticating accounts, receiving uploads, processing images, generating slides and other output, delivering downloads, tracking credits, responding to support requests, preventing abuse, diagnosing failures, and complying with legal obligations.
When you are signed in, generated PPTX files and their download links are saved to your account and shown in My files. Uploaded source images are not presented as a reusable online image library; processing may still require temporary or operational storage as described below.
4. Service Providers and Cloud Processing
We may use hosting, object storage, authentication, artificial intelligence, monitoring, and other infrastructure providers to operate the Service. These providers may process information on our behalf under their own security and data-protection commitments.
Uploaded content and generated artifacts may be transferred to and processed by cloud or object-storage systems, including systems located outside your country or region. We disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or legal rights.
5. File Handling and Retention
The Service saves generated PPTX records and download links to the My files page for signed-in users. Uploaded source files and intermediate artifacts are handled separately and may be retained for the time reasonably needed to process a request, make output available, maintain reliability, investigate failures or abuse, meet backup and security requirements, and comply with law.
Retention periods can vary by data type, provider, and operational need. When information is no longer reasonably required, we delete or de-identify it where practicable. You may contact us to request deletion of account records or generated files, subject to security, legal, and operational requirements.
6. Browser Storage and Similar Technologies
The website uses browser storage, including local storage, to remember information such as your authentication session, language preference, and certain workspace or prompt settings. Your browser controls may allow you to clear this data, but doing so can sign you out or reset saved preferences.
Infrastructure providers may also use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, authentication, traffic delivery, or reliable operation. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update our disclosures and request consent where required.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. International Data Transfers
The Service and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate measures intended to protect information transferred across borders in accordance with applicable law.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of certain personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. You may also have the right to complain to a local data-protection authority.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained when permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, legal compliance, or the establishment and defense of legal claims.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to the processing of their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review the situation.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and this Privacy Policy does not control how those third parties process information for their independent purposes.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service when appropriate.
